Terms & Conditions

To qualify for the Cashback offer set out in these Terms and Conditions (in the amounts set out below) ("Cashback"), customers must:

  1. purchase an eligible Samsung Printer or Multifunction Printer from the list below from any participating Australian retailer or reseller ("Eligible Products"); and
  2. comply with the claim process set out in these Terms and Conditions.

  1. The promotion commences 21.09.09 and closes at 17.00 EST on 31.01.10 ("Promotional Period"). All claims must be completed via the online claim form within 21 days of purchase date and no later than 17.00 EST on 21.02.10. The original purchase receipt must be received by the Promoter within 28 days of purchase date and no later than 17.00 EST on 28.02.10. The purchase date is determined by the date printed on the tax invoice submitted as proof of purchase. Any claims or proof of purchase received after the stated time limits will be deemed invalid.
  2. For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, "purchase" means payment in full of the purchase price for an Eligible Product during the Promotional Period; and "Eligible Products" does not include products that are purchased from online bidding or auction websites (including eBay). Claims cannot be made on back orders. The Promoter does not guarantee that all Eligible Products will be available for purchase throughout the Promotional Period.
  3. Information on how to enter and claim Cashback forms part of these Terms and Conditions of offer. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
  4. Offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer. Entry is only open to Australian residents over the age of 18 that can access the internet. Employees and their immediate families of: (i) the Promoter; (ii) Authorised Samsung Retailers, Distributors and Resellers and (iii) any agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin. The Cashback redemption process as outlined in Point 5 below is the sole method of entry.
  5. To make a claim for Cashback, customers must, following purchase of an Eligible Product:
    1. Visit samsung.com.au/promotions and enter their details via the Online Claim Form
    2. Complete the form by entering a valid email address and purchase date. A confirmation email will be sent to this address. Follow the link to complete the claim by entering their contact details including first and last name, phone number and address, and purchase details including store, store state, printer or multifunction model, receipt number and Serial Number S/N code (located on the back of each printer or multifunction product)
    3. Print out the confirmation Claim Form; and
    4. Attach to the Claim Form their original purchase receipt
    5. Send together in a stamped envelope, within 28 days of purchase date to:

  6. Claimants must retain their original purchase receipt for claim as proof of purchase. The original purchase receipt must then be received by the Promoter within 28 days of purchase date and no later than 17.00 EST on 28.02.10.
  7. The Promoter will not accept any liability for any claims that are lost or illegible. The Promoter recommends that the participant keep a photocopy of their original purchase receipt and send the claim by registered post to ensure that misdirected mail can be traced.
  8. Failure to produce the proof of purchase for the claim when requested may, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, result in invalidation of a claimant's claim and forfeiture of any right to the Cashback offer. Purchase receipt must clearly show full payment and specify the store name, invoice number and date of purchase and that the purchase of the Eligible Product was made during the Promotional Period.
  9. Offer is limited to a maximum of one (1) claim per claimant. (A "claimant" is defined as the person or entity named on the purchase receipt or the person making payment). A maximum of one entry per household/registered business applies.
  10. The Promoter will not fulfil any claim where the claim form is incomplete. This includes any claim form which a retailer completes on behalf of a customer.
  11. The Promoter's decision on all matters pertaining to this promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. The Cashback offer amount is paid by way of cheque in Australian Dollars. Payment of the Cashback amount for valid claims will be made within 90 days following confirmation of a valid claim. The Cashback offer amount is not transferable or exchangeable by the customer. All taxes (excluding GST) which may be payable as a consequence of receiving the Offer is the sole responsibility of the entrant.
  13. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agencies, contractors and participating retailers and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. All personal details of the claimants will be stored at the office of the Promoter or nominated agent. By making a claim, unless otherwise advised by the claimant, each claimant consents to the information they submit with their claim being entered into a database and the Promoter may, for an indefinite period unless otherwise advised, use this information in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment or other compensation to the claimant, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the claimant.   14. All claims will be subject to the Promoter's validation and verification checks. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of all claims and claimants (including a claimant's identity, age and place of residence) and disqualify any claimant for tampering with the claim process or for submitting a claim which is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  15. Any customer who receives the Cashback amount and subsequently returns or exchanges the Eligible Product (other than for warranty reasons) shall be required to refund the Cashback amount to the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify if the Eligible Products have been returned by contacting the participating stores directly. Certain legislation may imply warranties or conditions or impose obligations upon the Promoter which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified or cannot be excluded, restricted or modified except to a limited extend. These conditions must be read subject to those statutory provisions and will not affect any statutory rights that a consumer may have in relation to the return of products.
  16. Any costs incurred by the customer associated with claiming the Cashback offer including accessing the Samsung website, telephone enquiries in relation to the Cashback offer and mailing the claim form are the sole responsibility of the customer.
  17. Liability for any GST in relation to the Cashback amount provided to customers will be the sole responsibility of the customer.
  18. The Promoter makes no guarantee of the availability of its web services and will not be held responsible for interruption of service that may interfere with the ability to participate in the promotion.
  19. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any claimant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
